How to replace audio/headphone jack for PSP 1000?

I think some water went into the audio jack when it rained and now I can't use my headphones. Everything else is in top working, the audio itself works as well but I like being immersed into the game with my earphones- so how would I change the headphones port? Is it similar to how other PSP parts are replaced?

Hi,

Here is a link to the Ifixit guide for the teardown of a PSP 1000. This should help you in gaining access to the headphone socket.

Here is a link for just one supplier for a replacement headphone socket. You may find others that suit you better.

Hopefully this is of some help.
