Broken HP Pavillion tx1000 screen! how to change the screen?

I have a hp pavilion tx1000 touchscreen and it fall on the floor and now have the screen glass broken, the computer works greate but I think I have to replace the full screen I could buy it but can you help me on how can I change the screen?

I had the same problem. I looked at a screen on ebay and they cost around 130 dollars including the touch sensitive glass and cover. Mine works just fine but the glass was broken. What I did was to take the screen out of the case, and remove the glass slowly and carefully, then using the pc like a normal one without touch capabilities.

hi my screen also broke. im planning to replace the touch screen with a non-touch screen lcd. think this would result in any problems?

xanga119, same computer? It helps if you ask your question as a new question, then they do not get missed as an answer. it is pretty easy to ask a question on here that everybody can see....:) But let us know what computer you have and we will try to help you :)

I would think that this is possible if the connectors are the same. Since this model came as a non-touch screen as well and it looks like the motherboards in both are identical numbers. So you may have some extra parts in your computer that you may no longer user i.e. digitizer board etc. But theoretical should be possible.Just not sure why you would do that :)....good luck
