I can't hear callers unless I'm on Speaker or have headphones in

If I have headphones plugged in or am on speakerphone, I can hear callers, but if I try to use my phone with it pressed to my ear, I cannot hear them while they can still hear me. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

That would be the top speaker (earpiece speaker) gone faulty. You will most likely need to replace. These usually stop working after either water damage or metal fragment build up which happens as the speakers use magnets to drive them in a way to product sound.

You can get the part from here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-HTC-O...

I suppose you can use the teardown as a reference on how to open it:

Note: You only have to take out the logic board, the daughter board at the top and the battery to get to that part.
