MBP will not power on or respond to pressing the power button.

I need some support advice for my 2011 Macbook Pro. I used it early Saturday morning. I left for the day leaving it on hibernate and unplugged. Bad habit I know, but I've done it a million times. When I arrived home the computer was completely off. The battery indicator says there is a charge. However, when I press the power button there is no response. No chiming....no clicking. I purchased a new hard drive a few months back. So I swapped the hard drive back to the original hard drive. No response. I tried resetting the SMC with no response. There's been no water damage to the machine. I'm using the original power cord so I know that's good. When I plug it in it's still charging the battery according to the indicator lights. (The battery wasn't full.) Does anyone have any suggestions?

Unplug the keyboard and battery, plug the charger in and see if it turns on. This model should boot if the charger is plugged in.

Let me know how this goes.

you should leave it plugged in because it happened once, i plugged in, and then it will wake up.

It's not asleep. There is no response at all from the computer at all. It's not a matter of the battery being dead and just needing a recharge. According to all indicator lights the battery is fine.
