I have the same problem and only with the left part of the space bar. Assume a mechanical issue.

really annoying. ABlootooth keyboard (Logitech K810) works perfectly. Of course more acruch than a solution.

Hi Louis, I am not sure how the sensitivity of your keyboard can be adjusted... However, the problem might relate to a mechanical issue as I encountered after having cleaned and removed some of my keys. So, I would try two things: (1) I would check out if the space bar is still snapped into all of its metal holder(s) underneath the plastic space bar. (2) I would also check out if the ribbon cable of the keyboard (usually accessible when lifting the keyboard unit) is still connected to the connector all along the line (the line is usually painted on the circuit board to give you some orientation how the ribbon cable should fastened). I hope it helps.

Great answer! Your first option has happened to me more times than I can count. The little membranes under the spacebar have to get hit, and when you don't get one side of your clips in, it typically only works on the other side.

Thank you!!!! I tried the first option which solved my problem. I was having buyer's remorse big time. This has solved my issue.

Excellent answer!!!! Metal bracket on the flip side of the spacebar plastic module was partially loose. Had to snap it back in place and everything is better. Thanks a million!!!!

In my case i was using a HP Pavilion 2015. I found out that one of the metal brackets underneath the spacebar wasn't laying flat on the surface, so i took out that piece. Since there was still one metal bracket in place, the spacebar plastic snapped onto that piece and worked just perfectly thereafter. I believe that there was a flaw with this computer right from the start because i have hard this problem like forever. I hope that this helps someone!

I have a brand new Targus KB55 keyboard and was having the same issue... Random spaces when pushing the key. Decided to remove it and add a little sticky paper to it, just above the key membrane. Voila! That solved the issue.
