Why my iPhone 4 does not turn on?

My husband had I phone 4 and I was planning to use it. It was ok and functioning fine. One day, It just shut off and never turn back on. I charged it for couple of days and even replaced the battery. I have replaced battery in this March, but it does not turn on. When I charge it for couple of hours it gets really heated, Can Any one suggest What should I do?

Could be water damage on the logic board. Not sure if it's repairable since you said it gets really hot.
