Blinking Question mark system won't boot up

My screen doesnt boot it just flashes a folder with a question mark after booting ? I resart with disk inside and i get same flashing folder what do i do?

How about giving us a bit more here, like what happened. Also we really need to get a clue on what system you have. Can you give us your serial number so we can correctly identify your system?
