When plugged in makes charging noise, but no display on screen?

I have recently replaced the broken LCD and touch screen on my i phone, initially it was showing no response whatsoever but now when I plug it into to charger/computer it makes the charging noise. However, nothing appears on the screen and it still seems to not turn on. Does this mean the LCD is faulty or could there be another explanation?

Make sure that the LCD is plugged in correctly into the logic board. Also, disconnect the battery from the logic board for a few seconds, then put the iPhone back together. Sometimes the iPhone just needs to power cycle to be happy. If that does not fix the problem, then it sounds like you have a faulty LCD.

To disconnect the battery on this iPhone, remove all the screws on the logic board then lift the logic board by the bottom right corner up for ~2 seconds. This process will void your warranty. The battery is connected by contacts on the bottom of the board.
