Vertical line on screen

I have a blue iPhone 5c which i got at a good price and has been a great phone for over a year and a half. Then the screen quit responding to touch and had a screwed up-multi colors on display. I was going to fix it myself but i found a local shop which advertised doing it for $65 with new parts and labor. They told me at the time that i dropped it off that it may have a line on the display after the repair which i thought was strange. Sure enough, I got it back and it works fine except it has one green vertical line on the left hand side of display. Also a faint horizontal line towards the bottom. Do you think this is because they use cheap lcd/digitizer parts or used 5c parts? i don't know if I should get an iFixIt 5c lced assembly or try to upgrade to a newer iPhone? is it for sure that I won't have any issues like this with an iFixIt lcd assembly provided I do the repair right and have no connector problems? Help. thanks for any advice in this matter. Brad from San Antonio , Texas

To add to what Hatem said, they charged you $65 for a reason. They were able to charge you that because they already knew that the screen had a line in it. They probably got those screens for cheap. These screens are usually rejected from the manufacturer and sold as defective. A good to high quality replacement part will cost 40 to 50 bucks give or take. So, I am confident that they knew they were putting in a bad part. Id get a refund and use a different repair shop.

Hi

i once bought an iphone 4 screen which worked fine first and after a wekk i could see some lines on the screen. Its a manufacture problem. Go to the guy who repaired it and let him switch the screen. Yes its a cheap screen and something like this could happen but he definetely sold you a broken screen.

Probably is the lcd. Manufacture failure or cheap lcd. But you should have guarantee for the lcd or for the replaced parts and you can bring it back to them.
