Will it power up, if battery is overcharged?

My Proscan PLT1066GBT, won't power up, after trying to reset firmware. Is it toast? The firmware is, authentic. Battery is fully charged, but might be overcharged. May that, also be my problem? Going crazy. Help, Help...........
