Not powering after changing front glass

Hi Everyone,

I recently changed the front glass and track pad on my MacBook Pro 13" mid 2012 (A1278). Now it won't turn on.

Retracing my steps

I used a heat gun to loosen the shattered glass and removed it.

I cleaned the glued area with a micro fiber cloth and a compressed air can and mounted the new glass.

when I tried to power it up and nothing happened. I plugged the power in and again no power. I noticed that the green light on the power plug can on for about 40 seconds and then it dimmed. I then tried a fully charged battery from my other MacBook and still no power.

I'm not sure what happened or how to figure this out. Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you

Gil

I doubt there are any problems with the glass replacement. In my opinion I would look at the trackpad replacement procedure. My first guess is an incomplete cable insertion from the keyboard. I use a piece of tape on the cable to help pull it into the the slot rather than trying to push it in. Would you tell us why you replaced the trackpad?
