Letter S on keyboard not working so can't enter BIOS password

Can't enter BIOS password as my S key won't function. I did get it to work once by pressing on bottom corner 10 sec but password was not recognized. Battery has suddenly stopped charging so I'm thinking that the CMOS battery could be dead and has reset BIOS to default etc and what that is / is anyone's guess. I'm worried to flash it . Is there any genius out there.

Answer this question I have this problem too

A non-working key on the keyboard has nothing to do with the BIOS. Same for the battery charging circuitry.

If the CMOS battery is gone, your CMOS RAM - which holds the BIOS settings, not the BIOS itself - will be scrambled and the machine will use default settings when booting. This will usually clear any BIOS password that has been set.

You might be able to get around the non-working key by connecting an external keyboard.
