Touch ID not working after screen replacement.

After replacing the screen on my iPhone 6 the Touch ID won't work. It says it failed to setup. Any ideas why I'm having this issue?

I'm gonna go ahead and guess you've damaged the cable on the backplate. This is me guessing that you're home button still works as a button

If I did slightly damage the cable would the home button still function but not the Touch ID?
