Hi, completing any operation has suddenly become very slow? I must wait for ages while the colour wheel spins before moving to the next operation. This is not an internet connection problem and has occured out of the blue unless my kids have been at my laptop.

Apple's advertising has worked. They got on national television and said that Macs didn't have viruses, inspiring a whole new generation of maliciousness. I checked a MacBook today and found nine viruses.

After getting the viruses out, a good defragmenting and volume optimization helps a lot. Use Tech Tools for this.

Dang, viruses? That makes me nervous. I wonder what you have to do to get a virus on a mac?

You don't usually get a virus till you download sometime. Click on my icon Sterling and email me for help on this.

Do you have 20% of your HD free (empty) disk space? You need that for temp files and virtual memory.

Also if you've added and deleted large files you may want to backup, Format the drive and use Disk Utility to Restore your data, to deal with fragmentation.
