Phone stuck on BLU BOLD like us screen

Hello-

I have a Blu Studio 7.0 LTE with android version 5.1.1 on it. Yesterday it randomly shut down and now it gets stuck on the welcome screen when I try to power on. I'm trying to do a hard factory reset on it but it wont let me do it. Below is the exact message I keep getting when I bring up the menu to do a hard factory reset. WHen I try doing the reset I get a similar message. If that is needed to I can add that. Any help would be great!

E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log

This is my problem as well. When I was experiencing the issue of getting stuck on the BLU splash screen, I contacted BLU and they gave me factory reset instructions. I tried several times and I get the same thing:
