Due to a broken dock connector, my iPod hasn't been able to charge for almost 4 years now, I'm thinking of getting the dock connector replaced, but i am not sure if the battery is still working. I want to make sure it will work after the replacement!

White Boy Trying once you get the dock connector replaced, replace the battery as well. It will be discharged beyond the charging threshold and will most certainly no longer hold a charge.
