Display screen won't turn on

My display screen won't turn on, but keyboard lights up. At work I can connect to an external monitor and use.

Wondering what needs replacing and cost?

This model has a recall on the video issue. You will need to take it to an ASP to have the issue verified and Apple should repair it for free: https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro...

Print a copy of this before taking it in. I prefer an Authorized Service Provider for this repair, as Apple has no monetary incentive but the ASP will get paid for replacing the board by Apple.

Appears the recall only applies to EARLY 2013 models. Best of luck with your issue!
