Notebook won't sit flat. It seems the body may be slighly bent?

My MacBook Pro recently started not sitting flat - all four rubber feet on the table. The front right corner moves up and down, lifting the back left corner as I type. It is very annoying. Everything else works perfectly.

I think I may have picked it up wrong, causing the problem.

Is there an easy way I can fix this?

I have completely disassembled it before, for various upgrades.

You've torqued the frame & it will be hard to straighten. No worries it will run like that. Don't pick it up like that when it's running you'll pooch the HD.

Check to see if your battery is swelling.

I feel so dumb for not looking at the bottom of the thing. The battery was swollen and had popped out on one side.

The bad news is that I bought the battery less than 6 months ago at Fry's here in Roseville, CA. When I went to the Apple store they said that the swelling is fairly common for a battery over 2 years old. He checked and my battery was way past 2 years. The graciously offered to replace it for free if I still had the Fry's receipt, but I didn't.

$140. Ouch. Looks like I am going to be eating Kraft Macaroni and Cheese until next payday.

Thanks for your help!
