Water damage screen is going crazy

Okay so I have too phones here and I managed to drop both of them in the toilet because you know they kind of just slip out of your pocket and youre drunk and can't feel it I guess. Well one of them still works. I can turn it on. Everythings where its supposed to be ect. But I can't use the touch screen and it basically looks like big brother is poking through the phone because its just sort of going through everything as if I am touching it. As soon as I turn it on it swipes to the home screen and then starts doing its thing. Do you think this can be fixed? The other one isn't even turning on I dont think. The screen isn't turning on or anything and all I can see is the red light blinking so I'm pretty sure its kaput.

preschiousb you need to treat those phones like any other phone with water damage. You should not expect those to work without any intervention. At least try the basics by disassembling your phone, remove the logic board and clean everything with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. Remove the EMI shields from your boards. Then replace the battery and re-evaluate. Use this guide to get an idea on how to do it. It was written for an iPhone but all the points are still pertinent to your phone as well.
