I am fixing an iPhone 5 LCD as the glass was smashed. I have replaced the LCD which worked but the battery was dieing and the phone will not charge. I have replaced the battery but the same thing happened. Any help would be great.

Is there some kind of sign on the screen when you press the power button?

Even when plugged into mains or computer it stays the same. Before the battery died, it was working and then gradually the battery got lower and lower and eventually went off.

You could have a bad cable. Try another cable or try your cable on another phone. If you cable proves good then you have a broken connector. :(

Doh! I no the cable is fine so must be the connector
