USB charging dock connector flex damage cause no sound on speaker

I was changing rear housing for my iPhone 6 last night and tore a tiny area of the Dock connector flex cable as indicated in yellow in above photo. I thought it would not affect anything because it is small and it doesn't look like an important passage.

However, I believe this resulted no sound on speaker. Is the cut in the way between the speaker and board?

That cut will cause the loudspeaker to stop working as it cuts the connection on the charger port flex cable assembly. You will need to replace the whole charger port flex cable which isn't that expensive.
