Separating the Main Frame From Digitizer and Glass

I have a Droid Maxx 2 coming in the mail from eBay with a broken display (the digitizer is fine). I ordered a digitizer/glass assembly also but I noticed it doesn't come with the frame/bracket on the back.

I've watched a bunch of Moto X Play teardown and screen replacement videos but none of them deal with removing the frame.

From what I'm seeing of that assembly, I'll probably have to heat it up to loosen any adhesive and carefully pry them apart? I'd like to try and save the digitizer if I can in case I am in need of it in the future.
