cant get windows up
when i turn on my ibook g4 .i just get a small folder.whats wrong and how can i get windows up?

Your computer is telling you it can't find a working copy of the operating system to boot from (which is called the Mac OS..."Windows" is only for PCs, not Macs). The solution is to try to install the operating system. You need to put your system restore media into the optical drive, and hold down "C" to boot from it, and then follow the prompts to re-install the OS. It may be a bad hard drive, but the best way to tell is to re-install the OS and see if the computer will let you.

Unfortunately you'll need to acquire a copy of the OS restore media. There's a chance they'd be willing to help you out at the Apple store if you take it to the Genius bar.

It looks like it can't find an OS. Either your hard drive is dead, corrupted or it didn't have an OS installed on it in the first place. Did you just buy it, or have you had it?
