multi touch board out of control(trackpad)

I dont know why the trackpad on my macbook pro(13.3inch,bought 2 months ago) is out of control. it would click by itself but i didnt click anything. i cannot use the trackpad anymore.Now I am using a mouse and I have turned off the track pad.But still I want to know whats wrong with it ,and really want to repair it .

Someone said it might be a water damage.If It is a water damage problem,can I still repair it at apple authorized store without other aditional fee?And how long would it takes to fix it?

Please tell me what should I do .Thank you for all the advises.

You should be able to use a USB mouse to use your laptop. Should AID in you getting a better diagnosis of what is actually wrong. Also you could boot from leopard and reinstall MAC OSX to ensure that somehow the drivers did not become corrupted.

If this all fails it could be water damage.

No anything that is water damage is void from warranty. This wouldn't be a terribly difficult DIY fix though. Ebay sells the parts you would need for the repair. Apple won't charge you anything to diagnose it. So if you have any apple stores close to you I would recommend having them take a look at it.

it might have been water dammaged. it wouldnt be the first one i have seen acting nuts after water damage...

If it's two months old, it's covered under warranty. Take it back. They'll let you know if was water damage. You have nothing to lose.
