Replaced charging port now won't turn on.

I just replaced a charging port in a 6 plus and I plugged it in and registered it was charging (the phone was dead). It never turned on though and now the screen won't light up. I take it the charging port is bad?

Make sure the screws are in the right location. Did you test the charging port before you installed it? I always test the charging ports before installing them because they can be defective. Open the phone up, leaving the screen attached, disconnect the old connector for the charing port and Just connect the connector to the motherboard with the charging parts laying on the right side of the frame of the phone, then try a charging cable to see if phone is charing. If it charges then install the charging port, but think you have defective port.
