What to do with this issue after water damage.

So i literally dropped my phone in soapy water for like 1/4 a sec and now after putting in rice for 3 days it doesnt work or charge, I took it apart and where the screen receptors are I saw a lot of water residue, is there any way to get it back to work or will i have to buy a whole new logic board to replace it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Unfortunately, because all of the logic board components are soldered together, you'll need to replace the entire logic board, whose guide is found here: [invalid guide link]

I had a similar problem with my iphone 6. My phone was in a Lifeproof case and I walked in the pool with the phone in my pocket. After 20 minutes in the water I noticed that there was a bit of water in the case. I immediately turned off the phone and dryed it out with a hair dryer for about 30 minutes. The phone turned on and turned itself off. It never turned on again or charged the battery at all.

I replaced the LC/ Headphone Jack module, but that did not fix it. Then I carefully looked at all the connectors using a 16X jewelers lupe and found the home button module connector was oxidized. I cleaned the connector with 91% isopropyl alcohol using a cotton swab, and a small nylon bristle brush. I assembled the phone and when I powered up the phone... and voila! It worked just fine!!!
