doesn't boot up only shows charging

After screen was replaced on my HTC M8 the phone will not boot up it only shows charge and amber light but it doesn't actually charge.. The charging port was replaced just in case and I also did the charging logic reset but nothing has worked..any ideas?

So you get charging light but no display on the LCD display correct? For me it ended up being a faulty LCD.

Well the answer was I didn't push down on the battery connection I only screwed it in ..

Well my fix was that when I installed the new LCD in the RE install I DID NOT push down on the battery contact I only screwed the connection so oven if I did a logic reset or changed the charge dock it would never boot. So I took it apart and the phone booted up. Problem solved .. took me a week but we win...
