Can I change just the home button cover?

I'm about to undertake the black to white iPhone 4 conversion. I wanted to know if, when changing the home button from black to white, do I need an entire home-button assembly with the cable? Or, can I just change the colored-plastic portion of the button?

Thanks

This ended up being a piece of cake. The Home button is obviously VERY important to the operation of the iPhone so I didn't want to break this delicate flex cable part on my original button. I ended up ordering a new black button with flex cable attached and used an Xacto knife to carefully go around the edge of the silver button that was glued to the back side of the button. It's just held on with a little adhesive but by carefully going around it with the knife, it lifted easily and went right on the new white Home button. You can easily do this with the original Home button but I just played it safe.

The cable is lightly glued to the back of the home button, simply peel it off and attach it to your new button
