Yup, all iBooks use standard ATA (as opposed to serial ATA, i.e. SATA) hard drives, so you're all set.

Yup, you will also see this referred to as "Parallel ATA (PATA)" or just 2.5" IDE.

True. It's funny though how the "parallel" ATA name was retro-actively created when SATA came around, i.e. back in the day there was only ATA, or IDE, and no "parallel" distinction.
