There's a burning smell coming of from my device?

My Dremel has started to emit a burning smell shortly after a few minutes of work. It occasionally emits some smoke. How can I fix this?

The burning smell coming from your device might be related to different reasons. First, make sure that the carbon brushes are not worn out since that might cause the burning smell. If they are worn out, they might need replacing. Also, make sure that there's not dust trapped in the tool. If there is, you can get rid of it by spraying compressed air into the openings of the device. Lastly, make sure that the motor is not burnt out. If it is, that might be causing the burning smell. Replace the motor.
