2 iPhones, both home button problems even after replacement

I've had my share of replacing numerous parts on numerous iPhones starting from 3 to now the latest 6.

Now I got my hands on 2 iPhones 5s.

Black and White Gold.

The black one came with the original home button , but was slightly faulty, after opening it up i saw it was tampered with but still had the home button functionality after pressing the button two or more times.

So I ordered a new replacement button and after instaling it , the iPhone doesn't recognise it at all. So I tried using a white replacement 5s button that I previously had, it doesn't recognise that one either. So I tried putting back the old button, doesn't seem to recognise that one any more either!!!!!!!!

So i decided to try it on the other iPhone.

The white 5s came without a home button so I never had the option to test was it working prior to that, but as I plug basically ANY home button into ANY of the 2 iPhones, nothing works.

I am really getting frustrated honestly with this what usually is, a very simple fix. So I am open for suggestions as to what could I possibly be doing wrong or not doing. Or maybe overlooking?

What are the odds that both iPhones from completely diferent sources have the identical problem?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi,

what Version of iOS is on the iPhone's? Probably an IOS-Update might solve the problem..

I've read and heard a lot about "Error 53" that has got to do wich non-original homebuttons.
