No power, no charge, no boot

HI, i had acquire this macbook recently. The owner describe that the macbook suddenly stop turning on one day.

It does not hold a charge, the battery indicator is dead, when i press the power button nothing happen at all. Is there anything that would cause this besides a dead board, or we can conclude that the logic board is dead?

Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot? Also, if it's a faulty logic board, what's likely is faulty on the logic board (assuming it's just die on itself, not water damage or etc.)?

Use a multimeter and test the pin out on the mag-safe, you may not be getting any power. Here's the pin out on the left side of the page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagSafe

@mayer I have a few known working MagSafe, but none work with this MacBook.could it be the connector on the MacBook?

by

If the mag-safe adapter is known good, the next thing to go for is the board: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 MagSafe DC-In Board Replacement

by

@mayer exchange it with one the working board, no light, and nothing at all.

by

Open it and see if it's corroded or even hooked up correctly.

@mayer the dc-in board is previously working with another MacBook, I hooked it correctly and tried two times. Still no light and no power.
