13" MacBook Power Issues

The battery will not charge. Walked through resetting VRAM and SMC, and no resolution.

The power light is dimly lit and the laptop works only when plugged in. Have tested batteries and ac adapter and those work normally.

I am narrowing my problem down to the I/O board. My USB, and ethernet seem fine.

If there's any way to test the AC adapter on another Mac I would. Barring that it sounds like you need to replace the DC-IN port. To do that we need the EXACT model of your machine to direct you to the correct repair guide and part.
