How do I reset my iPod 5 touch?

My ipod was working perfectly fine then i left it alone for 4 hours and now it wont charge or recognized on the laptop. My home button doesnt work too. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

If you would like to perform a full factory reset (Warning: All data will be erased).

Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
