Magellan RoadMate 1440

The Magellan RoadMate 1440 is a portable GPS navigation unit with an LCD color touch screen. It was released in March 2009. It is identifiable by checking the model number listed on the label on the back of the device. It has an SD card slot on the top and a small USB connector on the opposite side. The device is only available in black.

Why won't my device turn on?

The device remains off even when I slide the power switch.

Options

First, you should be sure that your device is charged and the charger does not show any signs of wear or malfunction. If everything seems to be functioning normally, be sure that the battery is charged. If the battery will not charge, you may need to replace the battery, for which there is a guide for this device.
