Poor Bluetooth + WiFi - Noticed Chip in Antenna Band

So recently I've been having terrible Bluetooth range and worse WiFi range as well. I've recently discovered that the bottom right corner of the antenna band has chipped off (if the screen is facing you), about 1mm of the band is gone.

Could this be affecting my range? Does the bluetooth/wifi even use the antenna bands?

TIA

It is more likely that the incident that caused the antenna band to be chipped also caused internal damage to the phone. Either the BT/Wi-Fi chip is damaged, has a cold joint, or the circuit is missing a part, or the antenna got disconnected. Have it examined at a repair shop or tear it down to examine it using this guide.

So do the BT/Wi-Fi chips not actually use the antenna bands? If so, looks like a much cheaper fix for me.

I don't get it... You know what? You should define or show in a picture the antenna bands you're talking about, so that I am sure to understand what you mean... and avoid any misunderstanding.
