Front glass separated from LCD, display not working. Am I done for?

I dropped my phone and the front got loose from the LCD. There was dust between the screen and the LCD and you could see a bright white light coming from between the screen... then my little brother was playing with it and it completely broke... like the front panel completely separated from the LCD except from a part at the top. I need this phone for something and it is really urgent! Is there a way to fix it and have the display work again? PLEASE HELP!!

Just change the LCD/digitizer part, they come together.

That's pretty expensive, right? At this point I think its better to just buy a used iphone 5 since my current one was pretty beaten up after replacing the battery and screwing up many parts of it accidentally

The screen is around £35 so if your phone is working is better to change the screen instead buying new phone, but if you have change part before and you think that something is wrong then just sale the phone and get new.

Is there a reason it stopped working? Like, did a wire pop out or is the connection lost because they separated? :/
