Mute/Unmute button not working after housing replacement

Hello, I just did a housing replacement for a 6 plus and the mute/unmute button just stays down in the mute button and when I try to move it up it just slides back down to the mute. No click or anything. Please help!

There is a little black slider on part of the flex the mute button sits on. Have you made sure it is aligned?
