When I try to take a photo I only hear repeating beeping.

What does repeated beeping noise mean when I press down to take a photo? I cannot find my manual. Please help.

The camera will beep when the autofocus locks on (achieves focus).

If you don't want the camera to beep at you, you can disable the beep in the camera's menu:

  1. Press the MENU button
  2. Use the < or > (arrow) keys to select the first tab
  3. Use the DOWN arrow key or the wheel to select the Beep item and press the SET button
  4. Use the UP or DOWN arrow keys or the wheel to select Off and press the SET button.
  5. Push the shutter button halfway to exit the menu. You're done.

If you want a copy of the manual, get it here (scroll down), or in a bazillion other places around the 'net.

I don't want to turn beep off, I want to know why it's beeping multiple times (more than usual) when I try focusing. Does this mean my battery is getting low?

I have the same problem, where it beeps and doesn't release the shutter to take a photo,, I don't know why it's doing this yet

My camera continuously beeps then stops and then takes 10 photos automatically. How do I turn this off?
