iPhone 5c Microphone doesn't work

A little while ago the microphone on my iPhone stopped working. There must be two mics, because phone calls work, but calls on speaker phone, Siri, etc don't work.

I'm going to be replacing my screen anyways, so I thought it might be a good opportunity to replace the microphone. But I can't find parts or a guide for such on here. Is it included in another set of parts or something? What can I do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

That mic is located on the front facing camera cable. It's pretty easy to change that cable as part of the screen replacement.

Rich is correct. most likely needs replaced but the earpiece mesh can get also fairly blocked up which also includes a hole for that mic. if you remove the screen and that part then take a look at behind it, hold screen up to the light and you should see light pass through it. if not then scrape the mesh from the inside and outside with a fine pin etc to allow more sound to pass through.
