How do I free up my storage space?

My kurio tablet2's internal memory storage is almost full and it won't let me move my pics, music, etc. to the external memory card. How do I free up my storage space?

Hi,

Try connecting your tablet (which is turned on) via a USB connection to a working PC, turn on USB mass storage when requested by the tablet.

Hopefully you should get 2 Autoplay windows opening on your PC. Select view files using Windows Explorer in either window or if you do not get the Autoplay windows opening on connection, open Windows Explorer and locate your tab's drives (there should be 2 - one is the internal storage and the other is the SD Card). Locate the files that you wish to move, (be careful to only move those files and not any others - if in doubt, don't) Move them (use whichever method you normally use to move files on your PC, click and drag, cut and paste etc.) to the tab's SD Card drive, which is usually designated 'Removable Drive + a letter. You can create Folders/Sub Folders in the SD Card first to make it easier for you to organize your files for when you go to move them and also for when you wish to find then in the tablet.

Pictures are usually located in a folder designated DCIM and music in Music (obviously). As for any other types of files that you wish to move, you may just have to search for them as it may vary from brand to brand of device as to where it is stored. Do not remove or delete the folders from the internal storage drive, just move the wanted files from the folders.

This should free up space in your internal storage.

Remember to turn off USB storage in your tablet before you disconnect it from the PC
