fix dead screen of acer aspire 4830TG
my acer aspire 4830TG power on but still no display coming up ..blank ...dead screen ...
Is this a good question?
With the laptop started, try shining a torch at an angle close to the screen and see if you can detect the 'Windows desktop' image showing.
If you can, then there is a problem with the backlighting for the screen. It may be that the LID switch is faulty (this is a switch that 'turns' off the screen when you close the lid), the video flex cable or the backlighting power supply (from the motherboard)
If there is no image visible at all then try connecting an external monitor and see if there is a display showing on it.
If there is, it is either a problem with the LCD screen or the LCD video flex cable.
If there is no display on the external monitor then most probably the video GPU is faulty. On most laptops this is permanently mounted on the motherboard.
