Time is ahead by 8 minutes

The time is off (ahead by 8 minutes) has gotten there gradually since purchased - it was fine when I first got it about 2 years ago. I am not able to figure out how to reset it. When there is a time change (Spring & Fall), it does adjust by an hour, but still wrong by same number of minutes.

Options

That is normal behavior for most clocks. The time accuracy is usually +- 1sec/month, or something like that. To set the time follow the instructions described in this photo.

tried the buttons like you're supposed to.. managed to put the clock back one hour.. can't fix it :(

Note: power off, remove 3V battery, power on, reset year/month/day/12hr(am/pm)/hour/minute, replace 3V battery

Note: The translated manual is unclear or at least NOT 100% correct, I did not find DST or time zone
