home button does not work
I replace the lightning port, but the home button does not work and it makes a strange noise

Lightning port most likely defective. Try using the original again to rule out .
Parts on eBay are hit or miss so you may need to exchange it.
Be careful with the home button as the cable damages VERY easy,
