Casing coming apart for an HP Pavilion DV7

Casing housing on the right side by hinge and AC input has been coming apart more and more for last two years and now it is barely staying together it pulls when I plug in the charger and is getting impossible to use. I need an inexpensive repair as I am out of work and rely on this for job search and entertainment as I do not own a TV. How expensive and where can it be done. Is it possible to do oneself?

Hi,

Here is a link to the service manual for a HP Pavillion dv7.

If you scroll to p.18 -23 it gives a breakdown of the parts and their part numbers. If you "Google" just the part number only, you will get results for suppliers of the part.

Hopefully this is of some help.
