How to unlock it after nosy brother input wrong passcode mult times

my brother tried getting into my ipod touch 3rd gen and it is locked out. I can not get into the screens to do anything and even connecting it to the laptop it shows connected to Itunes but it will not let me do anything. can someone help to see how I can get unlocked and get back into it?? Thank you.

you need to put it into dfu mode and do a full restore on itunes.
