Why is my computer not loading?

Whenever I try to use my compter screen, it immediately goes to a blue screen stating "Your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart. We are just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart it for you." It then flashes "0% complete" for a second before loading onto another screen saying "Preparing Automatic Repair" and then it goes into a cycle. Please help! I am homeschooled and 90% of my studies relies on the use of my computer. Thank you!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi, What OS is installed in the laptop, XP, Vista, Win7, 8.1, 10? Does it start OK in 'safe mode'?

The OS is Win8 and I can't access safe mode without the screen returning to the blue screen

Download a bootable rescue https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SystemResc...; perhaps in a USB stick. Now start your laptop from this USB. As a safety measure, copy all your files (if you have another drive). Now:

1. Did you install any new drivers recently?

2. Did you make a system restore image recently.

If yes, boot with windows (whatever) and try to rescue/restore to last proper backup. In future, (yes, lesson) make regular "clone or image of your hard drive". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_cloni...

I downloaded the program onto my USB but when I selected Start Up on USB it went to a screen that said "Operating system not found"
