8gb hard drive switch to a 16gb, got the "parts"

Its might of been asked before. I know there's a flash drive built somewhere in the iphone.

Lets say I wanna switch out my 8gb hard drive for 16gb one. I have a phone, but it crapped out on me enough to replace it with a friends phone that was just cracked. (Replaced the front panel)

Can it be done?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

There isn't anything like a flash drive in the iPhone. The memory is BGA soldered on to the logic board. Replace the cracked screen like paloakiller suggests or replace the 8gb logic board with the 16gb logic board.
