Help with disassembly for a Samsung battery pack (EEB-El1CWE)

As the title says, I've got this pack that I'm trying to disassemble but it's one of the hardest pieces I've ever laid my fingers on. While finally making some progress opening it with my mini screwdriver I went a little too deep and it started to sparkle. I'm just going to leave it alone until I can get any clear instructions on how to proceed :/

I cant help much but I will warn you, this unit would probably contain a lithium ion battery, which are known to go off like mini nukes so please be careful.

Hm, the battery is probably too far gone, I'd still like to keep the casing since that's what I basically need, would it be that dangerous to try to open it with some gloves and my dad's old welding jacket?
