playstation 3 USB drives

Hi

I am experiencing problems with my ps3 system. Both of my USB drives in the front does not charge my controller. I have searched on the internet for the problem and it says I need the USB drives repaired.If this problem can be fixed please email me back

A good way to tell if your ports are busted is to check if they are feeding out any output power at all. If they arent, the ports probably need replacing or the voltage regulator or thermistor might need swapping out.

Depending on your experience with electronics, I suggest you start shortlisting the possibilities and go from there. There are plenty of resources for you to find the info you need. I would start at looking for the components at the ps3devwiki
